Overview - MAEOE hosts an annual conference each fall in a different location of the state, showcasing the people, places, and initiatives that engage the local community in environmental and outdoor learning. The conference planning team is made up primarily of volunteers led by the MAEOE conference chair and the board of directors with support by the administrator, committees, and local contacts. Awards - MAEOE recognizes leadership and dedication of our peers with the presentation of our annual awards, including the prestigious William Stapp Environmental Education Award and Julian Smith Outdoor Education Award. Recipients are honored at the Awards Banquet during the fall conference.
