ACADEMY OF NATURAL RESOUCES - NORTH

The Academy kicks off Sunday August 3, at 6 p.m. The week concludes Friday, August 9, after breakfast. Michigan Tech's Ford Center is located one hour west of Marquette, in the Upper Peninsula. The Ford Center provides a unique starting point to access Michigan’s natural and cultural resources nestled in the U.P. Your tuition includes 5 nights of lodging, 13 meals, and class fees.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:

Adventure Awaits: The western Upper Peninsula is a vast mosaic of geology, wildlife, wilderness, and history. This expedition will include daily road trips to explore the Porcupine Mountains (Michigan’s largest State Park), the geology and copper mines of the Keweenaw Peninsula, and the shores of Lake Superior near Marquette. This is the best way to learn about and experience Michigan’s most amazing natural resource landscape. The content will we explore is science based, historical, cultural and recreational. Prepare to hike and learn.
