Description
MAEOE is honored to recognize outstanding educators from around Michigan at our 2026 conference held in Flint, MI. This year’s award banquet will be held on Saturday, October 3, at a true gem of the Flint community, the Flint Farmer’s Market. The Flint Farmer’s Market is a community hub that has something for everyone from food, music, demonstrations, events and more.
We are excited to have 5 local market vendors that will make our Awards Dinner one to remember! MAEOE’s awardees and guests will be treated to delicious home cooking with dinner from Tee’s Plentiful Salads, and Say Cheese 810. A variety of desserts will be provided by A.T. Sweets. Fully Grounded will be providing coffee, and a cash bar will be available from Market Tap.
Of course, the main event is the recognition of outstanding environmental/outdoor educators in 7 award categories including: Volunteer Award, Recognition Award, Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Award, Rising Star Award, Impact Award, William Stapp Environmental Education Award, and Julian Smith Outdoor Education Award
