Description
This experience takes place at Factory Two, a nonprofit community makerspace providing affordable access to professional tools, equipment, and workspace. Factory Two works to build things the community needs and to build a better city. It is a place where the spirit of Flint’s manufacturing roots and tradition of making things can continue. Join this field experience to learn more about a community-first makerspace that strives to provide access to all. Participants will tour the facility and learn about leatherworking. At the end, you will have a leather craft to take home! During the tour, portions of this makerspace have large machinery and tools, and may be loud and dusty. If entering those areas, all required safety equipment is provided. During the leatherworking, participants will work at a table with chairs provided.
Please reach out to conference@maeoe.com with any questions or accessibility requests.
