Join us for an introduction to the newest state park in Michigan! Participants will be led through all five parks within this new state park, including Chevy Commons, Riverbank Park, Mott Park Recreation Area, Vietnam Veterans Park, and Happy Hollow Nature Area. During these five stops, we will discuss the history, the steps taken to restore the parks, and the programs and education facilitated in each area. The group will ride in cars which will caravan together from park to park. At each park location, participants will get out of the vehicles to learn about each park from the guide. Participants will be standing and walking on various types of terrain during these park visits. Please reach out to conference@maeoe.com with any questions or accessibility requests.
