Boat Tour - Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge (Ticket)

Description

On this approximately three-hour boat tour, provided by Johnny Panther Quests, you will explore the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge and travel through wetlands, rivers, creeks, and bayous. This is one of the richest wildlife habitats in Michigan. You will have the opportunity to spot bald eagles, beavers, deer, ducks, herons, and a variety of other shore birds while also learning about the ecology and history of the area. The entire experience takes place on an open-top, uncovered boat. Bench seating is available on the boat, but please be prepared to be in the sun and other weather conditions as they occur. Boat tours run with a 50% chance of rain or less. Cancellations and reschedules are at the boat captain’s discretion depending upon the weather. Restrooms will not be available. Location: Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge, boat launch at 101 Lee St., Saginaw, MI 48602 Time: Thursday, October 1 from 12:30p.m. to 3:30p.m. Arrival: Arrive at 12:30p.m. at 101 Lee St., Saginaw, MI 48602. The boat launch is to the right, at the end of a dirt road. No parking fee or entrance fee is required - it is not the formal marina which charges an entrance fee.
