5Heart Earthworm Farm is a family-run farm following nature's example of returning what comes from the earth back to the earth. This experience starts with a relaxing, outdoor social lunch time where you can reconnect with your MAEOE colleagues. Please bring your own lunch. Chairs and tables will be provided. The guided tour begins at 1:00p.m. You will visit the Worm Barn to see the worm beds, the process of harvesting the castings, and more taking place. Then the guide will share about various education programs and science lessons, including a worm science lesson where you will become a “worm-scientist”! This is a working farm, so please be prepared to move across uneven terrain when outdoors in any weather. Indoor spaces provide a restroom, are temperature controlled, and have seating available.
